Questions to ask potential agents

Before you engage the services of any professional it is important to find out if they are fully qualified to do the job. Not only should they be qualified, but they should have experience and results to match.  Would you allow your local doctor to perform open heart surgery on you if they didn't have the experience? No way. Choosing a buyers agent to represent you is a critical decision to achieving the results you desire.  We demonstrate integrity and ethics in everything we do.

Before choosing a buyers agent consider the following questions and see how we compare:

  1. Is your company licensed to be a Buyers Agent?
  2. How long have you been representing buyers as a “buyers agent”?
  3. Do you, or the company you are with take listings? Do you practice dual agency?
  4. What percentage of your personal business, and what percentage of your companies business is representing buyers? Is the balance representing sellers?
  5. Will you try to sell me your companies listings, and can you represent me 100% when doing so?
  6. How many buyers have you successfully represented in the last six months, and can I have the name and phone number of six of these buyers?
  7. What specific market intelligence will you provide me to help in my decision making?
  8. Will you recommend other professionals to assist me? (inspectors, appraisers, lawyers, etc.)
  9. How will you help me save money?
  10. Specifically, how will you protect my best interests, and why should I hire you rather than another agent?
